The American Presbyterian Missionary Rev. Royal G. Walider Started Work in 1852 in western Maharashtra. Sangli Industrial And Agriculture school was established by Mr. John Jolly U.S.A. in 1818 for imparting technical and agriculture training of the youth. The institution is having large area at the heart of city. Since then the school is rapidly progressing. The eminent missionaries headed this institution as principals.

Near about 20,000 and above trainees from different trades completed their training in this institute and efficiently working in Industrial field like Telco, Bajaj Auto Ltd., Mahindra and Mahindra, Pune Municipal Corporation, State transport Corporation and several Sugar Factories in India as well as in abroad. Also number of trainees of this institution have started their own business in related Industrial and domestic fields.
